Why “Clean” Beauty Is Important

By: E. Morgan

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, many people have started to think about the sanitary aspect of their skincare in a way like never before. Many individuals have been routinely sanitizing handles, social distancing, and applying monstrous amounts of hand sanitizer. However, one aspect of our hygiene that often goes overlooked is our skincare.

According to the Environmental Working Group, the US has not passed a law in regards to the regulation of personal care and cosmetics since June 25, 1938. In the following years over 80,000 new ingredients/ chemicals have been launched into the forefront of the latest products hitting the market. A slim 10% of these agents have been tested for human safety. Although it is impossible to label serious health complications to one factor, the rates of cancer, asthma, allergies, and autism have dramatically escalated within the last couple of years and research indicates toxic chemicals play a role. In most situations, a single application is not likely to cause harm but over time slight amounts add up. In short, what we put on our skin matters.

The coffeeface 3-in-1 pad promotes overall sanitation through its individually wrapped packaging. Avoid sticking your fingers into jars or balms because the one use pad features your exfoliation, serum, and moisturizer all in one. An active ingredient, manuka honey has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant benefits. Coffeeface is free from questionable ingredients, including sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, formaldehyde, and more.
